I already had a feeling that the ending of book 2 was going to be like this, with Bigger getting caught and it doesn't surprise me because Bigger didn't know how to hide the evidence and run away like he should've done it. The most poignant quote for me was, "Kill that black ape!" (Pg. 253). This quote shows how much the people hate Bigger because he's black and they are all white so that gives them the right to say anything they want and noboby will say anything against it. I think the three books ae titled this way because it's showing the steps of Bigger's life, the things he will go through to survive.

This connects to the book, specially to Bigger because this black male has been killing white females as if they were animals and without stopping. Bigger killed brutally Mr. Dalton's daughter and tried to get rid of the body, just like the criminal from the link; and then he killed his girlfriend so that made him have two murders and he can increase the number by killing all the people who get in his way to get away from the police. This means that Bigger could become like the murderer from the link or even worse if he doesn't get mental help or stopped.
